The Percentage of time spent exploring the activity chamber. As seen in previous outcome measures, the 2-hour delay showed a significant improvement
over untreated animals at 1 day and 7 days post-injury (P ≤ 0.01), though not reaching
significance at 4 days post-injury. The 4-hour delay also showed a trend in improvement
at these time points but reached significance at only the 4 days post-injury evaluation
(P ≤ 0.05). A 6-hour delay in the administration of PEG failed to produce any improvement
in this outcome measure.
